Top 30 photos of 2012
Last year, I posted my Top 30 photos of 2011. I don’t claim to be a great photographer, but it is something I enjoy and these year in review photos are fun to look back on. My Top 30 photos of 2012 are a little late – sorry about that!
First up we have my cat, Pipsqueak, on the garden wall one January morning. She’s not in focus, which would normally drive me nuts, but I really like the light.
We took a lot of walks in January and Alfie was one happy pup!
The next photo is from another country walk. I love this photo because Mat is running back to his car, Alfie’s chasing Mat and Chris is chasing Alfie.
Wow, I’m noticing a real trend here. Another pet photo is next: Gravy relaxing on my bed. It’s a tough life.
My decanter collection, thanks to the car boot sales we frequented in January.
Here’s a photo of Abbey Mill taken on a solo night walk in Bradford-on-Avon.
Our happy neice at 5 months old.
Pink hair!
Abbey Road with some special Canadians (walking backwards).
My Pinterest-inspired Diamond Jubilee cake!
Bath Abbey in June. I love the blue / orange contrast.
A lamb hopped up on a makeshift plinth for his closeup in Avebury.
Manzanares el Real, Spain – a long exposure of our view. The light pollution in the distance is from Madrid.
A beautiful June sunset, also from our holiday in Spain.
My birthday in July took us to the Cotswolds, where I shot this bee macro.
A hot bath and a glass of New Zealand wine, also shot at my birthday.
Catherine loves my iPhone and I love this photo of her playing with it!
Later that day, Uncle Chris and Catherine had a little snooze.
By August, I had grown tired of pink hair and finally ditched it for a more natural colour.
The result of a baking day: carrot cupcakes with cream cheese frosting, finished with chopped walnuts and toffee sauce
The next photo is a Toronto landscape from my late August visit. I like the cloud shadow covering the downtown.
Also from my Canada visit: my cousin’s daughter, Callie, rocking a pair of sunglasses.
After I got back in September, we got engaged!
This photo is from our engagement party at Milsom View. I love everyone’s faces!
This is my Halloween makeup: a half skull mask.
This is a typical weekend for us: off to a National Trust property to have a look around.
The result of two months hard work: our Bath holiday let apartment, Milsom View.
I quite like this heart bokeh photo of my Christmas decorations.
To finish up the year: Christmas pudding!
